One of the defining characteristics of our bikes is their versatility, and the Nua Sílice is probably our most versatile model yet. It could be classified as one of the new breed of Road Plus bikes, with 650B (27,5”) wheels and generously wide tyres (48mm). The upshot of this is a bike with the same dynamic performance as a standard road bike, but with a level of comfort and a capacity for absorbing impacts which allows offroad riding on almost any terrain.

FRAME

Adaptable to almost any style of bike, the Nua Ti-CORE is made from Gr.9 3Al-2,5V Titanium. It comes complete with belt port, sliding dropouts, internal cable routing, oversized 44mm headtube, disc brake postmount, integrated seatpost clamp, and mounting holes for mudguard, rack and 2 water cages. It is compatible with singlespeed transmissions or Rohloff and Alfine internal gear hubs. Once the order process is underway, we'll ask for measurements and help you to decide on the perfect frame size for your needs. You can choose an adaptable version (singlespeed, Rohloff and Alfine compatible) or a specific version - more elegant but less evolutive - compatible with only your transmission choice. FORK

Our light and rigid Nua CF-Gravel fork sports a full carbon fiber tapered steerer 1-1/8" to 1-1/2", a 100x12mm Thru axle for ultimate rigidity/weight ratio. It also has mounting holes for mudguards and internal cable routing for brake housing. This fork is extremely lightweight and only weighs 480g and has enough clearance for wide 700x54mm tires.

HEADSET

A top quality, ‘worry free’ headset with a semi-integrated upper part and an external lower part, for head tubes with a 44mm internal diameter. German made, with stainless steel angular ball bearings in CNC machined aluminium caps.

GEARING & BRAKES KIT

This kit was designed for those looking for a Shimano Alfine 11 speeds internal gear hub equipped drop bar Nua. For compatibility reasons, the Alfine on a drop-bar bike has to be used with modified Microchift levers that integrates the Alfine shifter. We chose to use TRP Hr/Hd cable actuated hydraulic brake calipers to provide a powerful braking.

This kit was designed for those wanting a Rolhoff Speedhub 14 speeds internal gear hub equipped drop bar Nua. For compatibility reasons, the Rolhoff on a drop-bar bike has to be used with a Rohbox internal gear mech box. To actuate this Rohbox smoothly, we chose to use modified Sram Force 22 Brake levers/shifters that also provide a powerful braking power thanks to Sram Force 22 hydraulic disc brake calipers.

TRANSMISSION

Extremely durable, this drive system performs in the harshest conditions. Like all Gates drives it’s clean, silent, and virtually maintenance-free. Also, it doesn’t rust, which is a huge advantage in icy (and therefore salty) or wet climates. We combine it with Shimano Alfine cranks and a Shimano Hollowtech II BB.

PEDALS

Good looking and remarkably light for a platform pedal, measuring 90x90mm and weighing in at only 358g. With 10 replaceable pins per side offering excellent grip.

RIMS

A high-end welded rim light enough for gravel and all-road use but with mountain biking long lasting durability. Inner width: 25mm. Outer width: 30mm. Weight: 500g.

SPOKES

DT-swiss Competition spokes are butted for ultimate resitstance/weight ratio. They are cold forged to have a 1.8mm diameter on their middle section and 2.0mm on the rest o the spokes, which makes them great for a wide range of uses.

FRONT HUB

A high-end Shimano Ultegra HB-RS770 hub with cup and cone bearings. This thru-axle version allows the use of a more rigid 12x100mm wheel axle. This Ultegra front hub weights only 125g and sports center-lock disc brake rotor mounts.

TIRES

The Panaracer Parimoto provides perfect grip for all-road ang gravel use. Thanks to its 47mm wide carcass it also provides excellent confort on any surface thanks to a quite important air volume that filters bumps without creating more rolling resistance. Tubeless mount. Weight: 330g.

STEM

A go-to stem for quality builds. Made in the USA, it claims to have the best combination of weight and strength available. Rugged enough for downhill riding but light enough for cyclocross.

SEATPOST

HANDLEBAR

The Salsa cowchipper is a cutting-edge "dirt drop bar" developped for gravel and dirt touring use. Thanks to its open and wider profile, it allows for better control while riding off-road. Made out of Aluminum 7075-T6, it only weighs 330g.

SADDLE

Constructed in weather-proof materials: a vulcanised natural rubber top for flexible performance requiring no breaking in period, and a waterproof nylon cover which performs flawlessly in all conditions. With a 140mm width, it is designed for a forward, more sporty riding position.
